Meet Us

Welcome to our campervan blog! We’re delighted to share our journey across the stunning landscapes of the UK with you. Our names are Sam and Pete, and we are the proud owners of a charming dachshund named Duke. Together, we’ve embarked on an adventure to explore every county in the UK, discover hidden gems, and share our experiences and tips with fellow travel enthusiasts. Some of our journeys take place in our trusty VW T6 campervan but we also share beautiful holiday cottages and unusual places to stay for those less inclined to stay in small spaces.

Meet the Crew

Sam: The passenger princess and the one who put all the cushions in the van. Sam also tends to hunt down the best locations and things to do as well as do all the booking.

Pete: Does ALL the driving and complains that there's too many cushions. Pete is the more practical of the pair and can always be relied upon in an emergency.

Together, we love good food, beautiful walks, time in the gym and a gossip over a coffee every single weekend.

Duke: Our adorable and rather sprightly senior dachshund who loves exploring new places as much as we do. Duke prefers our company in his old age and would rather be running around a ruined castle than be at a dog park these days.

We also have twin girls who are embarking on their university lives and only occasionally stay in the van. It's a squeeze for four adults!

Our Campervan Journey

We fell in love with UK stays when our girls were quite young. We both ran our own businesses which didn't always allow for proper breaks so we started doing regular weekends away. As costs increased, we limited ourselves to week long stays whenever we could but we missed our weekend escapes.

We wanted more countryside, more time away from the stresses of work and working from home, and more time just the two of us. After seeing a few campers during a trip to the Lake District, Pete jokingly said he'd get one. Sam didn't realise he was serious until he continued spamming her with pictures of campervans. After seeing what was on offer, Sam couldn't resist.

Our campervan Vincent has become our home on wheels, offering us the freedom to travel at our own pace and immerse ourselves in the places we visit.
